Isaac Price’s display against Oxford United felt like a showcase performance for the young Northern-Irish international.

Analysing Isaac Price
Albion’s recruitment has been focussed on brining in young promising players that will hopefully develop during their time at the club and appreciate in value. Some of these have been on the cheap for players that are undervalued; Diakite, Styles and Heggem are examples.
Whilst researching my Analysing Isaac Price piece, the standouts were how clean Price is on the ball, his energy and aggression without the ball, and his willingness to get forwards and get shots off. He showed all of that against the U’s.
The highlight of Price’s performance was, of course, his assist for Mowatt’s opener – Price’s first goal contribution in an Albion shirt. It showed some key aspects of his game; vision, bravery and technical ability.
As Molumby is driving through the middle of the park, Price is in space to receive the ball in a more advanced area. However, instead of waiting for the ball to come to him and remaining static, he sees an opportunity to receive the ball in a more dangerous area.
